Internet Computer: What is ICP and Why Should I Care?

Article Directory

ICP to $38 by 2031? Yeah, And I'll Be King of England.

So, another day, another crypto "expert" predicting moonshots based on… what, exactly? This time it's Internet Computer (ICP), supposedly hitting $38 by 2031. Give me a break. I've seen more realistic promises on the back of cereal boxes.

The "Revolutionary" Tech That Went Nowhere

Let's be real, the Internet Computer protocol was supposed to revolutionize, uh, what is the internet? Turn it into some decentralized utopia where everything's faster, cheaper, and run by rainbows and unicorns. Remember that hype? The promise of "scalable, efficient, and secure decentralized applications (dApps)"?

Well, where are these world-changing dApps? Last time I checked, the internet still runs on the same old pipes, and my computer ain't any faster because of ICP. I'm still running a speed test to see if my internet speed is acceptable.

They claim "robust technology and expanding utility" will drive demand. Okay, but expanding utility where? In some echo chamber of crypto bros patting themselves on the back? Because in the real world, adoption is… well, let's just say I'm not holding my breath.

The DFINITY Foundation developed it, but does anyone care?

    Charts, Lines, and Bullshit

Oh, but the charts! The "analysis"! ICP is "up 43.95%"! RSI is "overbought"! MACD is doing… whatever MACD does! It's all just tea leaves and chicken bones, people. These technical indicators are about as reliable as a weather forecast in April.

Internet Computer: What is ICP and Why Should I Care?

"Maintaining support above $5.00 will be crucial…" says the article. Crucial for what? For keeping the hopium alive? For preventing bagholders from jumping off a bridge? Because let's not forget, ICP is down 99% from its all-time high. 99%! That's not a dip; that's a freakin' meteor strike.

And they dare to say "current price levels provide a good buying opportunity." Are they kidding me? Buying into a project that's been utterly decimated, based on the hope that it'll somehow claw its way back from the dead? That ain't investing; that's gambling with extra steps. People should seek independent professional consultation before even considering this.

$1000 ICP? You've Gotta Be Joking

The article even addresses the question: "Will ICP reach $1000?" The answer? A lukewarm "attaining $1000 in the foreseeable future might be impossible." Might be impossible? It's about as impossible as me winning the lottery and dating a supermodel simultaneously.

But hey, at least they admit it. Sort of. They throw in the "good buying opportunity" line right after, just to keep the dream alive for the suckers, offcourse.

And these predictions for 2025, 2026, 2027… all the way to 2031? It's pure fantasy. Who knows what the world will even look like in 2031? We might all be living in underground bunkers, fighting over scraps of food. Worrying about the internet computer price ain't going to be high on the list. ICP price prediction 2025, 2026, 2027-2031

    So, What's the Real Story?

Look, I ain't saying crypto is a complete scam. But these pie-in-the-sky price predictions, based on nothing but hopium and hype, are insulting. ICP had its moment, it crashed and burned, and it's time to move on. Anyone still holding onto this stuff is either delusional or trying to unload their bags on someone else. Count me out.
